Hello, great to see you here and welcome to Move To Feel!

Now, how did I journey here?

My professional background is in Visual Arts and I have a Masters degree in Fine Art. I love the world of creativity, and before I became a mother of two little wildlings, I was making artwork for exhibitions and facilitating creative workshops for children, adults and underrepresented groups.

Alongside my passion for visual art, dance has weaved through my whole life starting with tap, ballet and jazz at my local dance school from ages 3-16. I did not have the poise or physique of a ballerina, but I remember loving the feeling of flow and formation with others. Dance and performance have often sneaked into my art practice over the years, Move To Feel is a continuation of my creative journey.

At a yoga and adventure festival in 2019 I stumbled upon Nia, a barefoot dance practice that mixes martial arts, yoga and the joy of dancing. After one workshop learning a little about it and dancing for an hour, I was cracked open and knew I needed to dig deeper into the Nia practice. A month later I went all in and took the Nia White Belt training in London.

It scared me, it challenged me, it inspired me and transformed me.

The following month, the global Covid pandemic hit and as new challenges arose every day, I kept dancing and felt so grateful that I had just found this tool to keep emotions moving through me. For many years, I’ve wrestled with anxiety so I’m hugely grateful that this practice found me at that time.

Shortly after my Nia adventure, I took another step into the world of self-healing and trained throughout lockdown in Transformational Coaching, then further in Somatic Coaching. All these new skills were brewing something up, so in May 2021 I launched Move To Feel in my local community with weekly outdoor classes. It’s evolved from there to also include bespoke sessions with community groups and 1:1 private sessions in my studio. I also began coaching during lockdown and have been working with clients on Zoom and in person since February 2021. Clients choose between Somatic Coaching or Move To Feel Deep Dive, both of which offer great depth of awareness and physical shifts.

So, that’s where I’m at. It’s exciting and rewarding, and I love being able to offer Move To Feel. If you’d like to connect to discuss how Move To Feel could be part of your life then contact me today!

‘‘Working with Ailsa was such a magical journey of self discovery. From our very first call, she intuitively led me to depths I had no idea I needed to go to (but definitely did). I walked away from each call feeling so refreshed, empowered, and full of such deep wisdom and insight.

We broke down barriers built of fear and self judgement. I found deeper clarity around what it is I am on this Earth to do and pivoted my career and lifestyle to reflect this. We danced to mourn old versions of the self and to celebrate the brave process of becoming. Ailsa is so tuned in, grounded, and supportive. I will forever be grateful to have been coached by her!’’
